Police can not find the owner of leftover clothes at the beach in Stege

On Monday evening, the police stopped the search for what may be a person who has disappeared in the water at Stege on Møn.

This is stated by the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police, who on Monday evening launched a search when a shirt, trousers, underpants and an asthma spray were found on the beach at Langelinie in Stege.

During the evening, a rescue helicopter and boats searched for the owner, who may have gone into the water, said duty officer Stefan Jensen at 19.50.

– The concern was whether it is someone who has been out bathing and who has not come in again, said the guard chief.

Police have not heard from anyone who misses a person or anyone who has seen anything at the beach.

At 21 o’clock the search has been stopped without result. Police are still looking for the owner.

– The search from the air over the beach in Stege has now been completed without anything of interest being found. However, we are still looking for the owner or other people who know about the effects left behind, the police write on Twitter.
