The court in Roskilde has now determined when the case will be settled. Approximately 40 court hearings are scheduled from August 2022 until January 2023.
The woman denies guilt. Her defender, lawyer Janus Malcolm Pedersen, says that this is an evidentially dizzying case.
That it takes so long before the court can pass judgment is due to the scope of the case and the age of the case, it sounds from the defense counsel.
– The nature of the case also matters. It is not a dangerous crime, says Janus Malcolm Pedersen.
It was in February this year that the Court in Roskilde received the enormous indictment. The offenses must have taken place from 2014 until 2018.
The vast majority of the 850 citizens have had their cases settled. The sanctions have been fine or warning.
But the woman, who is claimed to have helped the many people to illegal benefits, should instead go to jail, the prosecution demands.
For the individual citizens, the evasion was not great. Amounts of DKK 10,913, DKK 7,495 and DKK 2,605 are mentioned in the thick indictment. Only once did the alleged criminal activity on TastSelv concern her own private finances. Here, the evasion was 11,000 kroner, it is said.
But the total amount is significant. Fraud for almost 12 million kroner, the woman must have taken care of.
She is protected by name bans.
