On the farm in Borgarfjörður eystra there is a rather peculiar ram which is black on one side and white on the other. Plus, it only grew one corner.
The owner of this amazing animal is a farmer from Njarðvík, Andrés Hjaltason. He said that when this black and white ram came down from the mountains in September of this year, you could only see the horn on one side of the head and on the other there was not even a mark on the corner.
Sheep experts from the Agricultural Advisory Center encountered this phenomenon for the first time. They argue that it is genetically impossible for such a sheep to exist. It is likely that the fetus developed from the joined two eggs in the womb, although it cannot be said with certainty at this time. The animal will be examined and the results of the research may reveal where it came from.
