According to Ekstra Bladet, the killer, Jan-Evald Pedersen Hardlei, explained during the case that the killing took place in continuation of an intercourse between the two.
The 19-year-old has explained that during intercourse he grabbed Sandra Berg Jensen by the neck because she asked him to. But it developed into a conflict, which escalated and ended with him stabbing her with a knife.
After the killing, he poured over the woman’s body with flammable liquid and ignited it. He too has been convicted of that.
In addition, he has been convicted of trying to endanger the lives of others in connection with the arson.
The young man pleaded guilty at Thursday’s court hearing. According to the prosecution at the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police, he has chosen to accept the court’s decision and thus does not appeal to the high court.
