Before the two went up to the hotel room, the woman had been served a blue sparkling wine. The medicine in question may just be blue.
The rape took place at Hotel Scandic in Ringsted. Here the pharmacist met the young woman. The two had established contact via the Internet.
According to sn.dk, the pharmacist, who is the owner of Roskilde Dom Apotek, has pleaded not guilty during the case. According to him, the two had indeed met and had sexual contact, but the woman had agreed.
The woman’s explanation, however, was different. She told that she had woken up in a daze and had gone home to a friend. Only later did she discover that something sexual had taken place, writes sn.dk.
Chemical studies could subsequently establish that there were traces in the woman’s hair of the anesthetic, which is given to epileptics, among other things, to counteract tremors.
The pharmacist has been convicted of “rape by sexual intercourse other than intercourse”. It is a provision of the Penal Code that equates various forms of sexual assault with a vaginal rape.
