According to the presentation of the book, she does not want to point fingers, but instead gives her opinion on how there can be freedom for everyone and how men and women can move forward together.
โ When I hear people say that we then have equality in Denmark, and that there is nothing more to talk about, I always feel like asking: What day or just about in what year was it that we came to the finish line , says Helle Thorning-Schmidt in the press release.
Helle Thorning-Schmidt was chairman of the Social Democrats from 2005 to 2015.
She was Prime Minister of Denmark from 2011 to 2015, but left Danish politics the following year, following the Social Democratsโ loss of government power.
Subsequently, until 2019, she was director of International Save the Children. Today, she sits on several boards โ including the wind turbine manufacturer Vestas.
In addition, Helle Thorning-Schmidt is co-chair of Facebookโs supervisory board, which, among other things, takes a position on cases where Facebook has deleted controversial content.
The book will be published on 4 October.
