* The Crown Prince Couple’s Social Prize goes to Mødrehjælpen. Among other things, the organization offers advice to young parents and runs second-hand shops with children’s clothes and equipment.
* With the two prices included at 500,000 kroner each. There is also a kaleidoscope created by the artist Olafur Eliasson.
* The Cultural Star Sprinkle Award goes to producer, songwriter and singer Erica de Casier. She gets it for her innovative approach to music.
* The Crown Prince Couple’s Social Star Sprinkle Award goes to RedenUng for the advice they offer young people who are sugar daddies.
* The recipients of the star sprinkle prizes each receive 100,000 kroner.
* The Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes were established by the Beehive Foundation in 2004 as a wedding gift for the couple.
* The Crown Prince and Crown Princess nominate the award recipients on the recommendation of two advisory committees with expertise in culture and social work, respectively.
* The purpose is to honor and make visible actors who have made an effort with an international format in the cultural and social field.
* The award ceremony was held in Copenhagen in the first years, but has since 2011 been held every year in changing Danish cities. Last year it was in Randers.
* An exception, however, was in 2013, when the Crown Prince Couple’s Awards were held at the Opera House in Sydney, Australia, as part of the official 40th anniversary celebration of Jørn Utzon’s world-famous architectural work.
