The upcoming super hospital, which will be located in Hillerød, will be affected by new savings.
Berlingske writes this on the basis of an orientation to the politicians in the Capital Region.
According to the newspaper, after several savings, there is a prospect of fewer beds in Hillerød.
But it is far from the only super hospital that gets fewer beds because of the savings knife.
The number of beds at the new Bispebjerg Hospital falls from 675 to 577.
A similar thing has happened at the regional hospital in Viborg. The same applies to the new university hospital in Odense.
This is stated in a briefing to the Folketing’s health committee.
To Berlingske, the Unity List’s group chairman, Peder Hvelplund, calls it “horrible” that there are again plans for savings that hit beds.
Martin Geertsen, health spokesman for the Liberal Party, does not believe that one should focus exclusively on the beds.
But he points to a clear problem if there are both fewer beds and the health service does not get better at preventing hospitalizations.
– It develops – in my best opinion – into a regular disaster in the Danish healthcare system, if you just sit and watch that development, he adds.
He calls on the government to convene negotiations on health care reform.
– It is simply a fixed task that we strengthen the municipal health service, the general practitioners, and the specialists all over the country, he says.
Among other things, he calls for more GPs to be trained.
Peder Hvelplund has called the Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke (S) in a consultation on the matter.
Martin Geertsen welcomes this.
In a written comment to Berlingske, the Ministry of Health and the Elderly states that it is the regions that decide how many beds there should be.
