A man was burned on Monday afternoon when a mixture of gunpowder and chemicals suddenly ignited in his home in Kruså.
This is stated by the South and Southern Jutland Police on Twitter.
It is a 47-year-old man who has been burned. He is not in danger of death.
The fire alarms came at 16.27.
– It turns out that it is some homemade pyrotechnics, which he has had for several years, and which suddenly ignites, says duty officer Ole Aamann.
There was no explosion, but the chief of guards could not say whether the 47-year-old was burned when the fireworks self-ignited, or because he was trying to put out the fire.
– He has not been seriously injured. We were able to conduct a first, initial interrogation of him on the spot, says the chief of guards.
In the house is more of the homemade fireworks.
– That is why we have called in the ammunition clearers, who are on their way to remove it, says Ole Aamann.
On Tuesday, a decision will be made as to whether there are grounds for targeting the 47-year-old man – possibly for violation of the Fireworks Act.
This is stated by duty manager Henrik Sønderskov on the night before Tuesday.
Police are not yet able to say how many fireworks were found in the house.
