– The prince’s motives are considered private and the royal family does not want to comment on the decision further, it says in a press release.
Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen, press adviser to the prince’s mother, Countess Alexandra, tells BT that the education has turned out to be nothing for the prince.

She says that the countess supports the prince’s decision:

Thus, Prince Felix ‘follows in the footsteps of his older brother, Prince Nikolai. He started in 2018 on the sergeant training at Varde Kasserne, but also chose to stop.
Subsequently, he began studying Business Administration and Service Management at Copenhagen Business School.
This summer, Prince Felix became a student at Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium. Here he aired to BT the idea of applying to Copenhagen Business School at a later date.
– But I am not determined on it, so now I have just two years to think about it, he said in June to the media.
There is a tradition in the royal house to serve in the military. Prince Felix’s father, Prince Joachim, has a longer education in the Danish defense behind him. He is now defense attaché at the Danish embassy in Paris, France.
Prince Felix’s uncle, Crown Prince Frederik, also has a long background in the military. Among other things, he is trained in the special force Frømandskorpset.
