The Copenhagen West Region Police informs about the case on Friday.
Later, however, the service pistol was found again, police inspector Michael Hellensberg informs.
The episode took place around 02 o’clock on Valnæsvej next to number 67, the police write on Twitter.
– Threatening a policeman with a gun is completely unacceptable and extremely rude and something we look at very seriously. We have made a massive effort to find the perpetrators, says Chief Police Inspector Knud Stadsgaard on Twitter.
Copenhagen West Region Police informs Ritzau that the officer was at work and that he was wearing a uniform.
– Our policeman has acted correctly and resolutely. He is doing well under the circumstances, but is obviously affected by the situation. Together with the Police Association, we, his colleagues and management take care of him, says Knud Stadsgaard on Twitter.
The prelude was that the police were in the area with a so-called Lima patrol – Lima is in charge. Coincidentally, the officer spotted two men shouting at him.
The two ran away and the officer set after them. The two split up, after which the officer was confronted by one, police inspector Michael Hellensberg informs.
In connection with the episode, the police are looking for witnesses who can help the police on the trail of the two wanted persons. The two fled on foot, presumably in a northwesterly direction.
One perpetrator is described as a man who is probably not ethnic Danish, he was strong of build and about 175-180 centimeters tall. He was wearing completely black clothes and black thin gloves which in the palm of his hand were probably gray.
He was characterized by a strong black full beard and short black hair, about five to ten inches long. He spoke Danish with an accent.
The other perpetrator is described as being about half a head taller than his companion. According to the description, he was probably not ethnic Danish. He, too, was wearing black clothes.
The Copenhagen West Region Police in particular were hit by a tragedy in 2016, when the 43-year-old dog handler Jesper Jul was shot and killed outside the police station in Albertslund.
Here, a perpetrator fired a pistol at the police officer from a few meters away, who died.
