On Sunday, there are again political negotiations on an agricultural agreement. The results of the agreement will be defining for how the Danish farmers will place their investments, says Søren Søndergaard.
Danish farmers are investing long-term. Therefore, it is difficult for them to navigate agricultural agreements from changing governments.
– Six years ago we got a blue agricultural agreement, now we may be looking into getting a red agricultural agreement. When you as a farmer invest, it is with a 10 and 20 year horizon.
– It is completely impossible to impose conditions that we do not know where we are going, says Søren Søndergaard.
He says that it is, among other things, investments in stables, technology and land that should stand the test of time.
