On Thursday, January 13, the Queen will open the exhibition “A Queen’s Jewelry Box”. It takes place at the King’s Collection at the Amalienborg Museum.
The next day, she first goes to the cabinet. Afterwards, the Folketing marks the anniversary. Here the queen will participate together with the Crown Prince Couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie.
Later the same day, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at Roskilde Cathedral. It happens on the occasion of the death of Frederik IX.
The party continues Saturday, January 15th.
The royal family will first appear at Christian IX’s Palace at Amalienborg at the change of guard at 12 noon.
Then the queen drives in the tub to Copenhagen City Hall, where she will appear on the City Hall balcony after the celebration and lunch.
Saturday ends on Gamle Scene in the Royal Theater, where there is a party performance, which is broadcast on DR.
The festivities culminate on Sunday 16 January, when the queen first goes to a festive service in Our Lady’s Church and subsequently holds a gala dinner at Christiansborg Castle.
