Downdetector, a site that monitors reports of power outages on the Internet, said these application outages were reported to some global users.
Facebook took its Twitter handle to share: “We are aware that some people are having difficulty using our apps and products. We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience.”
Earlier on Monday, thousands of users reported that they could not use WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook for nearly six hours before the services were restored.
