Instead, providers have been desperately trying to match their employees with vacancies.
In September, Copenhagen Medical held two job fairs where companies and the pods could meet each other. It was a great success, says press officer Trine Baadsgaard.
– The companies have been really happy about it. They are missing employees and we will soon have some who are missing a job, she says.
Falck is also currently holding job fairs for their many pods.
On 6 October, a trade fair was held in Aalborg, just as there will be job fairs in Aarhus and Roskilde in the following week.
At Copenhagen Medical’s job fair in September, the company United Hotels Service was among those present.
It has given employees to the company, says CEO Ricco Alvarez.
– It is difficult to find people at the moment, so this was an obvious opportunity to get some qualified labor. And we also hired more people in connection with the job fair, he says.
Restaurants and hotels have been hungry for labor for months, which they have had a hard time finding after reopening.
Horesta’s members have a great interest in participating in job fairs and are more than ready to hire the podcasts, says Kristian Nørgaard, political chief consultant at Horesta.
– Many pods are not the heavy vacancies. They want to find some other job. And they have solved a task where they have had to serve the Danes, so many of them are already service-minded and outgoing.
– That is why we are very ready to accept them for many types of jobs. Several companies even had contracts with them for the job fairs because they so wanted to hire people, he says.
It is not only companies that are present at the test providers’ job fairs.
All providers have collaborated with the Sosu schools. Here, they try to match the pods who have gained an interest in the health profession with an education such as sosu assistant or helper.
There is a real need for new students right here, it sounds from the Sosu schools.
