Great Danes qualify for the World Cup in 2022 in an epic way

In the numbers

They have managed to do it with 17 different goal scorers and without their midfield spokesman Eriksen.

And what about this for a statistic: Kasper Schmeichel has only faced four shots on goal so far in eight games.

Denmark already set a new European record for most World Cup qualifiers in a row without continuing when they beat Moldova 4-0 on Saturday.

Romania had the previous record of six from their campaign in 1998. Now the Danes are at eight and are looking at Guinness’ world record of 12, which Iran set from 2015-2017.

In order for Denmark to continue their streak, they must keep zero in their last two qualifying matches against the Faroe Islands (home) and Scotland (away).

Apart from Denmark, the hosts Qatar and Germany are the only two other teams that have already qualified for the World Cup in 2022. Even FIFA is impressed.
