Car traffic across the Great Belt will be affected for several hours after two trucks were involved in an accident on the Great Belt Bridge on Wednesday morning.
There are no serious injuries, according to the duty officer at the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police.
A driver was taken to hospital for check-up after the incident.
Initially, the traffic from Zealand to Funen was stopped.
But later, the clean-up work to get the trucks away meant further changes to the flow of traffic, which was briefly completely blocked in both directions.
For a period, there would be only one track passable in each direction at a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It wrote the police at 9.30.
The Danish Road Directorate expects “significantly extended travel time”. In a post on Twitter on Wednesday morning, people are encouraged to possibly wait to drive away from home.
