The positive percentage is 1.16. It is a measure of the proportion of the tests that have been answered that have been positive for covid-19.
The 700 infected were found in 60,338 PCR samples. This equates to 1.16 percent of the samples being positive for infection.
PCR samples are the tests in which one is inoculated in the pharynx.
In the last 24 hours, 30 new admissions of infected people have been registered in the country’s hospitals. The total number of patients with covid-19 in Denmark increases by 15 to 105. This is due to the fact that discharge has also taken place.
However, it does not give cause for concern that the number increases on Friday. This is what Camilla Foged, professor of vaccine design at the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Copenhagen, says.
– It can be a fluctuation, because those who are admitted now are not admitted for that long. But if the number continues to rise, then we need to look at it.
– We must also keep an eye on who is admitted: whether it is people who have not been vaccinated, or people who are, but become ill anyway, she says.
At the same time, three infected people have passed away. A total of 2679 infected people have died in Denmark.
Among those admitted, 14 infected are admitted to the country’s intensive care units, and 10 of them are helped to breathe by a respirator.
In the last 24 hours, 1499 people have received another sting and can thus call themselves fully vaccinated.
In Denmark, 4,394,501 people have now been vaccinated. That equates to 75 percent of the population.
A total of 134,843 received third plugs. That equates to 2.3 percent of the population.
On Friday, the National Board of Health announced that fully vaccinated people over the age of 65 will receive an invitation to the third vaccine six months and 14 days after they have received another vaccination.
From the board, it sounds that the timing is “crucial”.
– This means that one should not give third plugs if it is not necessary. But one should also not come too late and only give it when the protection starts to fall.
– The timing is right now, before we really enter the autumn and winter season, Camilla Foged explains.
