Some doctors experience that patients show up in their practice with symptoms of corona, but without having had a coronal test.
The call from the doctors is clear: get tested if you are ill.
If you have covid symptoms, you must be tested. And if you go to the doctor with such symptoms, the doctor will want you to be tested before, says general practitioner Jørgen Skadborg.
He is also chairman of the General Practitioners Organization (PLO).
– One thing is that you should not run around and infect covid in the community.
– But if at some point you think that you need to be examined, then you can be at the forefront by having arranged a covid test before, instead of having to experience that the doctor prescribes a covid test. Then there can be a 24-hour delay before you can be seen by the doctor, he explains.
Anders Beich, chairman of the Danish Society for General Medicine, emphasizes to TV 2 the importance of continuing to be tested.
– People think when they are vaccinated that it is not corona they have.
– But it is very important for us to state that you must be tested, and preferably early in the course, if you get a fever, cold, sore throat or cough. Because that way we can find the few who can infect the many, says Anders Beich to TV 2.
