Agnetha Fältskog on Abbas’ comeback
Abba releases new album after 40 years and Agnetha Fältskog breaks the silence in a world-exclusive interview in Svensktoppen with Carolina Norén. The album “Voyage”, which will be released on the night of November 5, will be the first studio album from Abba in 40 years.
Agnetha Fältskog: Frida and I have opinions, but it is the guys who decide
– Before, I used to influence more, but today I may come up with a proposal on how, for example, the meetings should sound. The guys decide most things and me and Frida do as they say and then it usually gets good.
Agnetha also says that she has no more plans for her own solo comeback and the hesitation before the avatar project.
Voyage may be the last thing Abba does
– I was quite hesitant about it at first, I have never felt like a stage personality. My strength lies in expressing emotions in the music. But when we started working on it, it was really fun. That and the disc (album “Voyage”) will probably be the last thing we do.
Despite the new album and concerts this spring, Agnetha Fältskog is determined that she has no greater desire to be seen more in public.
– I have never withdrawn in the way that many people think, but I feel that there has been so much about us over the years and we have given so many interviews. There is a risk that you break it in some way and then you want a piece for yourself also in private.
Agnetha Fältskog also reveals that she is at first quite hesitant about the new Abbatar project.
– I have never thought that I am a stage personality, however, I am good at expressing emotions in the music.
