The Red Bull Solo Q World Finals takes place in Munich

The Red Bull Solo Q World Finals will take place on December 4-5 at BMW Welt in Munich, where the top 20 players will compete in a two-day offline final for the official 1v1 League of Legends tournament title.

In addition to the title, the winner will receive a live viewing experience at an upcoming official Riot Games tournament.

Red Bull Solo Q started in April and has contained more than 40 national and international qualifiers. Amateur players competed for a place in the regional finals before the event went on to head-to-head competition in the national finals.

Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere, who has been the face of the competition for the past three years, will be in place for the world final.

Solo Q has a unique format with 1 on 1 duels where the player must draw “First Blood”, take down the opponent’s tower or reach a point of 100 minion to win.

Mid laner Erik “ZiViZ” Lovgren is among the players who have used Solo Q as a springboard into a professional career. He won Red Bull Player One 2018, the previous iteration of the event, while representing Sweden.

“It has always been a childhood dream to represent Sweden, whether it is through football, table tennis or e-sports,” he said. “I loved wearing a shirt with the Swedish flag and my name on it.”
