Canadians Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime booked a head-to-head match in the semifinals of the Stockholm Open in Sweden on Thursday.
Second-seeded Auger-Aliassime defeated Botic van de Zandschulp of the Netherlands 6-4, 6-3 in a quarter-final. No. 3-seed Shapovalov had to gather in his superior Arthur Rinderknech from France 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. Auger-Aliassime leads the matchup through the ages against Shapovalov with 3-2.
Americans Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul meet in the second semifinal.
Tiafoe raised No. 4 seed Daniel Evans of Great Britain 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinals, while Paul finished the race with Brit wild card Andy Murray 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Top-seeded Carlos Alcaraz from Spain defeated no. 5-seeded Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo with 4-0, 4-1, 2-4, 4-3 (3) in the quarterfinals in Milan.
Alcaraz will face No. 6 Sebastian Baez in the semifinals. The Argentine won 4-3 (2), 4-2, 4-2 over France’s Hugo Gaston, seed number 8.
Second-seeded American Sebastian Korda defeated No. 3 Lorenzo Musetti from Italy 4-2, 4-3 (4), 4-2. Korda will next face compatriot Brandon Nakashima, a 3-4 (3), 4-1, 4-1, 4-3 (1) winner over no. 7 seed Holger Rune from Denmark.
