When Finland withdrew from its embassy in Afghanistan, some of those who worked there fell behind.
They had to be paid for two weeks of work in August, but it has still not been paid. As the economic situation in Afghanistan deteriorated, this week’s APN podcast tried to find out if they could get their money soon.
We also asked Rose Wangui The Finnish Cyclists’ Association, why it is good to cycle in winter, discussed the current situation in Covid and asked if Finland could look stylish in winter and stay warm.

This week, Finland’s campaign culminated in the qualifiers for the Qatar Men’s World Cup. They just stayed last, but given that tournament ethical issues it can be considered a blessing in disguise.
We asked Rikas Nelson From the Finnish football show, what he did from this week’s big match against France, which Finland lost 2-0 after a goal. Karim Benzema and Kyllian Mbappé.
"They did pretty well when they handled France for about an hour, and then the quality told me" said Nelson. "It was good that Finland could go toes with a team like France, they looked really good."
According to media reports, the premises of the newly renovated stadium did not withstand the stress test of the general public. The toilets were overcapacity and hard to find, but access to the stadium also took a long time.
Overall, Nelson was not impressed.
"To the end user, the ordinary Joe, it looks like a licking roof and new kiosks," said Nelson. "When I see the videos behind the scenes, I see that they have spent money elsewhere, in VIP areas, in sports, in restaurants and elsewhere."
"But the average visitor to a football match doesn’t get any benefit from it. I feel sorry that so much time and money was wasted. I think it was closed for five years and we go there and it was exactly the same as last time, but the paint was new and we still had to queue for 15-20 minutes to use the toilet."
