We invite some of the most influential artists in the world, Gorillaz head to Flow Festival in Helsinki in 2022 Damon Albarn/Jamie Hewlett a global phenomenon that will bring its incredible live performance to Helsinki, which will be one of the largest productions the Flow Festival has ever seen. Another legendary treat for Flowโs audience is Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and their magical melancholy world as the band returns to the stage after four years.
The Flow Festival looks forward to next summer and shares the joy with its audience. Artistic director of the festival, Tuomas Kallio, says: โWith the first announcement in 2022, we want to look to life after covid-19. And warm and happy gatherings. While we may still have challenges with international tours, we have been able to curate a high-level, diverse program for our audience. Flow is back! โ
In addition, the festival features an award-winning British soul artist Michael Kiwanuka – one of the most respected artists of the last decade, the Norwegian pop sensation Sigrid known for hits like Don’t Kill My Vibe, German electronic music producer and pioneer DJ Koze and Fred again .., the first solo project by a famous British producer Fred Gibson.
New York-based dynamic rapper, social activist and feminist charms hip hop fans Princess Nokia and Little Simz, which brings out the universally loved LP ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ sound, so you should not miss the performance. The festival will also feature one of the most exciting and upcoming British-Gambian rap artists Pa Salieu conquer the international rap world.
Alternative rock and punk fans can finally see the feminist punk band The bikini kills is recognized as the instigator of the Riot Grrrl movement in the early 1990s and the initiator of the King Gizzard & Lizard Wizard in Australia. This cult band mixes psychedelic rock, pop and even metal music. In addition, the Irish post-punk phenomenon, Fontaines DC, will perform at Flow next summer.
The Finnish artists performing on Flow are a unique melodic trap music artist William, a new wave of rap artist Sexmane, an iconic Finnish entertainer and singer Erika Vikman, indie and alternative hip hop star Jesse Markin, a current rap artist and social influencer Yeboyah and a new rising rap star Hassan Maikal. Finland’s most famous jazz artists also play on stage Linda Fredriksson Juniper band. The Flow Festival will announce more artists and a day program early next year.
The Flow Festival experience is about an internationally curated program, great art installations, quality restaurants and a magical festival area in Helsinki’s Suvilahti. Tickets are sold at Ticketmaster and Tiketti.
