prime minister Sanna Marin (SDP) told the British newspaper Caretaker On Sunday, equality, education and the welfare state have raised Finland to the top of the global happiness list for four years in a row.
"We have always worked for equality in Finland, and I think it will be important in the future, not only for equality between men and women or gender, but also for equality between minorities in society, Marin said.
Like many other International media recently The Guardian traces Marin’s rise to one of the country’s most effective positions.
But the newspaper also suggests it "cracks in his five-party coalition are beginning to show," quoting Yle’s recent poll, according to which his Social Democrats fell to third place after the Coalition Party and the Basic Finns.
The Guardian also emphasizes that the Marin government is facing a vote of confidence in border security on the potential threat of a hybrid operation at Finland’s borders.
When asked about the hybrid attack on Belarus, the Prime Minister said "There were no problems at the Finnish border" adding that Finland condemns the actions of Belarus.
In the meantime, British politicians have taken note of Finland’s goal of eliminating street homelessness by 2027, says The Guardian.
"There are still people without a home, and we still have problems, especially in larger cities. But we have also made progress," he told the newspaper.
