On Tuesday, due to the spread of Covid-19 cases, the Coronavir Coordination Group in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area called on the Regional State Administrative Agency of Southern Finland (Avi) to order the closure of various offices and venues in the area.
The group recommended the closure of indoor areas, public saunas, swimming pools, dance studios, choir and amateur theater facilities, amusement parks, indoor playgrounds and public meeting places in shopping malls.
The coordination group wanted to give priority to children and young people, so most of its recommendations only apply to those over 18 years of age.
The group also recommended that the use of Covid categories of facilities be circumvented in order to circumvent the restrictions.
The group also recommended that students should return to the classrooms after the Christmas break on January 10, and it was noted that students in grades 3-5 should also wear a face mask.
The coordinating body stated that all recommendations should continue for the new year and that indoor events would be limited to a maximum of 10 people.
