There are 754 rental apartments in the portfolio, most of which are located in the Helsinki metropolitan area. YIT’s share of the collective investment is 20%. Construction of the projects will take place in 2022-2024.
“With the help of the collective investment model, YIT can receive additional income through its minority ownership in the structure. The investment also increases the weight of residential properties in YIT’s investment portfolio and thus balances the portfolio, ”says Pasi Huhtakangas, Director, Co – Investments, YIT.
“We are excited to be able to increase our visibility for the Finnish housing sector with this large and high-quality rental property. With this joint investment, we can further strengthen our relationship with the leading housing developer, YIT, which makes it even more exciting, ”says Jonas Ahlblad, Partner and Chief Information Officer, Sirius Capital Partners.
All projects have been pre-contracted and will be recorded in the order backlog when project-specific agreements are signed. The return on construction is recognized as income in the Asunto-Suomi and CEE segments and in the Cooperative Properties segment as investment income.
