Magdalena Andersson begins the press conference by saying that the state of knowledge regarding the Omikron variant has changed. “The number of patients at IVA has been stable since the turn of the year,” she says.
She says that they have had a conversation with Sweden’s municipalities and regions and that they assess that they will manage the health care situation.
Many of the general guidelines will continue to be in place, including the recommendation that everyone should be vaccinated against covid-19.
