About Margareta Ingelstam
Margareta Ingelstam, 84, is an acclaimed peace activist, author and educator who has devoted her entire life to working internationally for peace through civil society and non-violent methods. In the 1980s, she was secretary general and chair of the Christian Peace Movement.
In 1969, she co-founded the Adoption Center, became its first chairman and a front figure for the world-unique Swedish adoption movement.
Margareta Ingelstam has also worked as a producer at Utbildningsradion and as an active Social Democrat has had positions of trust in the media policy of the future.
