Norwegian professor: Putin’s rhetoric reminds Hitler

Russian invasion of Ukraine is underway. Explosions have been heard in Kyiv, among other places. Several cities have been attacked. Russia’s attacks have killed more than 100 people, according to Reuters.

Some Ukrainians are fleeing the cities, while others are seeking refuge in shelters and where they can find shelter.

Russian President Vladimir Putin continues his aggressive and threatening tone in the speech. When Putin spoke to the public on Monday night, Norwegian professor Sven G. Holtsmark was quick to point out. He calls Putin’s rhetoric very similar to Hitler’s.

– If I can use direct language, it’s a mob that speaks. This is a form of mob language, I can not find any other word, which we have not actually heard since 1938 and 1939 when Hitler used this type of language, said Professor Sven G. Holtsmark to NRK Dagsrevyen Tuesday night.

– I know that these are very strong words, but they are well thought out, he added.
