Stockholm [Sweden]March 1 (ANI): On Tuesday, Sweden announced an additional SEK 500 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which gives the total contribution to Ukraine to SEK 1 billion in humanitarian aid.
Sweden’s Foreign Minister Ann Linde spoke on Twitter, “Sweden announces an additional SEK 500 million (EUR 47 million) in humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This is in addition to the SEK 120 million last week. In total, Sweden has contributed more than SEK 1 billion in humanitarian aid and SEK 2.3 billion in reform aid to Ukraine since 2014. ” Sweden also proposed several new EU measures in the light of the ongoing crisis, aimed at Russian leadership and oligarchs.
“Sweden proposes several new EU measures in light of the ongoing Russian invasion, aimed at Russian leadership and oligarchs, and strengthens support for Ukraine. The sale of ‘golden passports’ in the EU must stop now,” it added.
In addition, Ann Linde met with practically Nordic-Baltic foreign ministers and discussed ways to increase support for Ukraine.
