Municipalities are desperate for Ukrainian interpreters

Some municipalities, such as , have called for help via groups and other platforms.

“When the war started, we had a freelance interpreter affiliated with Ukrainian, but none on permanent .” This is what Aarhus Municipality’s rapporteur, Ester Fibiger, says to DR News.

In addition to professional interpreters who can translate complex concepts in case , there is also a need for translators who can help find housing, schooling and other practical things.

“We would not normally do this, but it would be great if we could get interpreters who can translate from Ukrainian to English, just to get some numbers,” Fibiger said.
