Across Europe, there is growing concern that traffickers and fraudsters are exploiting Ukrainian women fleeing the war. Helsingin sanomat newspaper The secret investigation of the news agency STT says that the phenomenon has arrived in Finland.
Advertisements on Ukrainian personnel websites advertise well-paid jobs at Finnish factories, such as Sinebrychoff and Huhtamaki, which companies say do not actually exist. The ads require applicants to pay a fee to apply for places that do not require specialization or local language skills.
To warn citizens of the risk of exploitation, last week the Ukrainian authorities sent text messages via local mobile operators warning of traffickers and urging them to reject obscure job offers.

Cash is king
In recent years, Finland has become an increasingly penniless society, but Evening News says Ukraine ‘s war is causing some to ask how much money should be saved if digital payment systems are disrupted.
The Consumers Association urges people to keep their weekly expenses in physical cash, according to IS.
"Itโs worth estimating how much you need based on your regular expenses. Imagine how much you should control if all your digital payment infrastructure isnโt working," said Juha Beurling-PomoellSecretary-General of the Consumer Protection Organization.
Omicron up
