Fan favorite Dave showed up for a sold out Forum Black Box show and it was a very eventful Friday night.
It was a dedicated crowd. Dave spoke directly to the audience about how much Copenhagen meant to him – as it was the place for his first appearance outside the UK.
Some of the statements he made about loving Denmark and Copenhagen in particular were top notch, but this was the most factual. As usual – he let an audience be on stage for ‘Thiago Silva’. The lucky upcoming rapper was chosen by a vote from the audience as there were three candidates.
Some of the clearest highlights and highest responsiveness from the audience were for the classics ‘Funky Friday’ and ‘Location’. However, both the artist and the listeners were very enthusiastic throughout the night.
Immaculate presence
The most unique moment of the night was when Dave played Kanye West’s ‘Through The Wire’ on piano. He explained that this was a song that inspired him and told how he started playing music and playing instruments.
He even shared that his mother was touring with him – what’s not to love about it?
Dave is a true ‘Master of Ceremony’ with an immaculate stage presence and thriving vocals. It just seemed like his words were clearer when he spoke than when he rapped to the music.
There was an electrical energy and the audience had ‘Thiago Silva’ chants going on an hour before Dave showed up. He really smeared everyone up by saying he wanted to make sure Copenhagen was on all his tours and he closed the show and said he would be back.
