Marin said the alleged attacks on civilians in Ukraine must be investigated as war crimes. He condemned the atrocities committed by Russian forces near Kiev before withdrawing from the region.

Marin tweeted that she was shocked "cruel and cruel acts" Russian troops have left Bucha, near Kiev, and other parts of Ukraine. "We don’t close our eyes, we’re not quiet, we don’t forget" he wrote.
Ukraine’s defense ministry accuses Russian forces of arbitrarily slaughtering civilians in Bucha. The mayor of the city claims that about 280 bodies have been buried in a mass grave in the city.

"Reports of the brutality of Russian forces and the killing of civilians in Ukraine are deeply worrying. Civilian victims of war crimes in Bucha, Irpin and other parts of Ukraine deserve justice. Finland supports the role of the International Criminal Court in the investigation," Niinistö sent Facebook.
