“Black oil is currently turning into red blood in Ukraine,” he said.
He acknowledged that the suspension of imports would lead to higher costs and lower living standards in the coming years, but stressed that energy flows must be cut off at any cost, at least temporarily in the light of Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
“Russia needs to be isolated in energy matters because it is the only way to affect the Russian economy so strongly that it affects its operations,” he said. “It’s quite clear that costs are going up sharply. They will increase in housing and traffic. Unfortunately, living standards are falling. “
He added that the Finnish government is preparing to end its dependence on Russian energy. Information is expected in the near future.
