According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mette Frederiksen is in Ukraine today to meet the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Together with the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro SánchezFrederiksen will discuss a number of topics with Zelenskyy, including how Denmark can be able to assist in prosecuting war crimes – such as those committed in Bucha.
“I admire President Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people for their courage and how they continue to defend their homelands in Putin’s unprovoked and illegal war,” said Frederiksen.
“I look forward to meeting Zelenskyy, and my message will be that Denmark will continue to help Ukraine. The West stands united in supporting the Ukrainian people. “
Several Western leaders have visited Kiev recently, and Zelenskyy continues to ask for more weapons to support his country’s defense against the Russian attack.
