The Christian Democrats’ party leader Ebba Busch (KD) is now criticizing the regional police leaderships for handling the riots in several Swedish cities during the Easter weekend.
She asks why the police on the spot were not ordered to go back in during the riots and why they were instead ordered to retreat. She also allows the police in situations like this to use their service weapons and shoot sharply.
– When we are in a situation where someone wants to kill the person who is responsible for maintaining law and order and protecting us all, then it must be possible for the police to escalate to the required level, she says.
It is problematic that Finland is leading the NATO issue
Ebba Busch (KD) says in the part of the interview that deals with a possible future NATO membership that Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson (S) lets Finland lead Sweden into NATO.
“Regardless of what we think of a NATO, we should have a vigorous discussion between the parties about the conditions for a NATO membership and what demands you can make on NATO,” she says, among other things.
