Finnish Ministry of Defense official represents Finland in negotiations hosted by the US Secretary of Defense in Ukraine Lloyd Austin In Ramstein, Germany on Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the talks will focus on the overall situation in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and on the aid to the war-torn country.
The discussion will also look at Kiev’s long-term defense needs.
While the United States continued to invite the Finnish Secretary of Defense, Antti Kaikkonen (Cen), Chief of Staff of the Ministry, Esa Pulkkinenwas to attend the meeting.
Prior to the negotiations, the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenbergthe outcome of the talks was expected to be announced later Tuesday.
Spokesman for the Pentagon John Kirby said earlier that non-NATO countries, in addition to military alliances, would take part in Ukraine’s key talks on Tuesday.
