Inspired by the new, Russian entrepreneurial spirit, Roman sniffs out business opportunities on both the right and the left. Together with his mentor Boris Berezovsky, he buys up the state oil company Sibneft – and soon finds himself on a first name basis with the entire political elite.

When Roman Abramovich buys the English football club Chelsea at the age of 36, he is one of the richest in the . At the same time, questions are now being raised about his connections to the Kremlin. These are issues that will bubble to the surface again, more than 20 years later, when Roman’s old friend gives orders to invade .
