Statistics Denmark conducts its survey every month, and compared to previous months, a larger proportion of retail companies have indicated that a price increase is on the way.
The proportion of companies that have already raised prices has also risen recently: from 56 percent in April to 64 percent in May.
Prices in Denmark have generally risen in recent months, especially supported by rising energy prices – which has ultimately meant that the production of energy-intensive goods has become more expensive.
Danish Business, Danish Business. told TV2 News that while consumers in Denmark continue to spend the same amount in retail, they get fewer goods for the money due to the high inflation.
