Carl-Erik Lagercrantz, together with his business partners, has invested, collected and planned for investments of more than SEK 100 billion in northern Norrland. He wants to fight the climate crisis “with commercial solutions”.
So far, he has, among other things, started Europe’s largest battery factory – Northvolt in Skellefteå, where Léa Montin works. Now he is ready to start building Europe’s first new steelworks since 1980, in Boden.
In this section you get to follow the hidden ice that started the green industrial revolution. Listen to hear him tell you about:
Growing up as a fatherless and then orphaned.
How Mrs. Louise Boije af Gennäs introduced him to his future business partner Harald Mix.
The strategy of starting completely new companies to increase the pace of change.
The future of the new Norrland.
