Uutissuomalainen: Most Finns support the construction of a new nuclear power plant

Support for the infrastructure project is higher for and older age groups than for women and younger age groups. The project received the most support among the respondents who identified themselves as supporters of the Basic or the Coalition Party and the least among the respondents who identified themselves as supporters of or the Left .

A thousand people responded to the information society’s survey. The margin of error for the results is +/- 3.1 points.

Construction of the country’s sixth plant was halted in early May. , a nuclear power company founded by an energy and industrial company group in , terminated its supplier agreement with , a Russian state-owned nuclear power company that owns a minority stake in the project.
