John Lennon – The Beatles, Yoko and the Murder

It’s Thanksgiving in 1974 in the large Madison Square Garden concert venue in New York. For over an hour and a half, a man has been anxiously circulating backstage. He has beige platform shoes, dark blue flared trousers and a black jacket. And soon it’s his turn to give up on stage.

He has just vomited from nervousness. Sweat is pearled in the forehead and curls up in the classic 70’s polishes. Panic creeps along the spine. The man’s name is .

Ten years ago, this was his everyday life. Night after night, he took to the stage in front of thousands of screaming fans with his band , without the slightest hesitation. But a lot has happened since then.

Just tonight, the extravagant pop artist plays in front of 20,000 cheering fans. No one in the audience knows about it, but John has promised him that he will play some songs. While Elton clears up on stage, John is peppered by co-workers backstage. But his fear that the audience neither wants to see nor hear him makes him almost vomit again.

When Elton John begins his presentation, a whim sweeps over John to just pull.

But when he hears his name, the old Beatles reflexes kick in. The headlights illuminate his shoulder-length hair and are reflected in his classic round little “Lennon glasses” when he steps out on stage. But what John does not know is that this is the last time he will be on stage.

P3 Music documentary about John Lennon is about a lost man’s search for love. It’s about immortal music, screaming fans and how he became an advocate for world peace. John Lennon turned forty years old and perhaps he managed to find peace just before he was shot to death in 1980.
