EYEBALLERS appointed Fredrik “slap” Junbrant as head coach of their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team on Monday.
The 29-year-old Swede has previously been the head coach of Young Ninjas. He guided Anton “Sapec” Palmgren in that team and reunited with him at EYEBALLERS.
“I am all-in on this project. With the right mix of young talent and experienced veterinarians, EYEBALLERS will be the place to be in the years to come,” Slap said in a statement. “I am convinced that we will see a Swedish player go through our project and reach our goal. A player, either with us – or after going through our organization – will reach the Champions Stage in a major in two years. And I is here to help these players on their journey as much as I can. “
EYEBALLERS Robin “flusha” Ronnquist said that slaps were the natural choice as the team’s coach.
“He was literally our first option,” Flusha said. “He did a fantastic job with Young Ninjas and has proven to be one of the best coaches in Sweden when it comes to developing young talent. In addition to having good hands with young players, he can also teach us veterans new things. As a founder of the team we see a long collaboration ahead of us, and have also been given the right to decide who plays and who does not. “
EYEBALLERS ‘roster consists of the Swedes Jesper “JW” Wecksell, Casper “SHiNE” Wennerberg, Leo “Svedjehed” Svedjehed, Sapec and flusha.
