Cedwin Sandanam is leader of Sweden’s most famous gospel choir, Tensta Gospel Choir. When he was 16 years old, a friend took him to a rehearsal with the choir and he was instantly hooked.
Since 2005, he has been the artistic director, conductor and coordinator of the choir’s 50 members. They have performed on stages such as the Royal Opera, performed in “Allsång på Skansen” and been invited to sing for both the King and the Pope. Several of the great artists of today, including Sabina Ddumba and Lykke Li, have had their home in the choir.
In 2021, the choir was portrayed in a documentary, “The Choir – a film about Tensta Gospel Choir”.
Cedwin Sandanam about his Summer talk:
– This is a program about not really knowing shit. About faith and doubt and about not wanting to choose side.
