Ed Sheeran will perform four concerts in Øresundsparken in Tårnby this week, starting on Wednesday 3 August and ending on Saturday 6 August.
With over 150,000 concertgoers expected at the four sold-out concerts, it will have a major impact on traffic in the area. Anyone planning to drive to Copenhagen Airport or to go to the Øresund Bridge should check the local traffic conditions first.
For example, Bøjlevej has been closed to all car traffic from 30 July to 7 August, while part of Amager Strandvej will be closed between 14:00 and 24:00 every day from 3 August to 6 August. will not be allowed to park on the road.
Advice for concertgoers
At first only one concert was planned, but after it sold out in record time, three more concerts were arranged.
Tårnby Municipality encourages the swarm of people attending the concerts to either cycle, walk or take the Metro to help regulate traffic.
However, DSB has stated that it is important to bear in mind that there will be limited capacity when using the Metro.
Øresundsparken is only a few hundred meters from the sea and is a rather nondescript grassy area close to Femøren Metro station, which is earmarked for residential development. Meanwhile, it is used for a variety of purposes, such as cycling competitions.
