Karin Stöckel works as a miner in Kiruna. In 2018, she started Gruvkvinnor, a group for female miners.
The group has made a #metoo appeal with stories from the mine and they have also pushed for improvements and changes with women’s issues in focus.
Karin Stöckel about her Summer Talk:
– I have worked for eleven years as a miner. I work in machine maintenance, but I take pride in being a mining woman. Mitt Sommar is about the working class and what it’s like to be a woman within it. I will take you on a journey into the mining industry and tell you how #metoo was just the beginning of something that would change everything.
