Turn the clock back four centuries and put on your best clothes. You will go on an evening of discovery in one of Copenhagen’s most historic buildings.
The stock exchange on Slotsholmsgade, built in the 1620s, just a stone’s throw from the Folketing (we hope we never get to that), housed Copenhagen’s stock exchange until 1974. For almost four centuries, the city’s brokers traded commodities whose value was invariably determined by international markets.
It is therefore appropriate that on the evening of Friday 23 September (17:00-20:00) a different international market takes place: the job and career segment International Citizen Days 2022where the organizer International House Copenhagen will do its very best to put you in contact with potential employers in Denmark.
Great Saturday
To go with the job, you need a home (right?), along with a social life that’s full of extracurricular activities. Perhaps that is why the organizers have chosen the city center pleasure dome DGI city, famous for its huge donut-shaped swimming pool, to host the second segment of International Citizens Days 2022, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
As with previous editions where the number of participants exceeded 5,000, its main sports hall will be packed with stands, so you can walk past each one and assess their suitability for your needs and pleasures as a newly arrived international in Copenhagen.
Adjacent rooms will be buzzing with activity, from relevant lectures to engaging seminars, while the main room will be no less busy with demonstrations, children’s activities and the opportunity to talk to experts face to face about the things that confuse you most about living in Denmark.

On day 1, proceedings begin with a speech from the employment and integration mayor of Copenhagen, Jens-Kristian Lรผtken, followed by former minister Brian Mikkelsen, now CEO of Dansk Erhverv, Borsen’s owner, who is considered to be the one. Danish Chamber of Commerce.
Day 2 starts the day with a warm welcome from the Mayor of Culture and Leisure in Copenhagen, Mia Nyegaard, one of many high-ranking officials from Copenhagen Municipality who consider the event one of the most important in their calendar. .
Don’t forget: together with the public authorities present, private organisations, communities and local sports and hobby clubs consider this a wonderful opportunity to connect with you. They need you as much as you need them!
Don’t forget to pre-register
The event, which is part of Greater Copenhagen’s national welcome month of September, is completely free to participate in. Refreshments and light refreshments are offered.
All you have to do is pre-register before you attend, so the organizers have a good idea of โโhow many people will be attending. Be warned that you will be on a waiting list for Friday’s event, as there has been so much interest in participating.
In previous years at the Saturday event, it should be noted that the first hour is the best time to show up, as it tends to get quite full. When you arrive early, you can see exactly what’s on offer and attend the special events that matter most to you.
