XI’AN, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — Moses Ogbu has joined China League One side Shaanxi Chang’an Athletic, the club revealed on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old striker is a dual citizen of Sweden and Nigeria and is 1.85 meters tall.
He began his senior career with IK Sirius in 2010 and scored 62 goals in 195 games for the Swedish club.
Before joining Chinese Super League outfit Wuhan Three Towns in 2021, Ogbu played for Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates, English fourth team Grimsby Town and Swedish club Mjallby.
Last season, Ogbu helped Wuhan Three Towns win the China League One, scoring 19 goals. Ogbu’s last club was a short spell at South Korean club Pohang Steelers.
“We thank Ogbu for being with us when we face difficulties,” read a statement by Shaanxi Chang’an Athletic.
Facing financial difficulties, Chang’an Athletic has seen several players leave this season, but the club have remained unbeaten in their last 11 games in China League One, the country’s second tier of football, and are currently fourth in the table, 11 points off the top.
